For this party, Sara shared, “this is the most elaborate party I’ve ever hosted, and the least stressed I’ve ever felt.” Mic drop. Have you ever felt that way after planning a massive themed party? I’m guessing not!
Keep scrolling to droll over this super rad emergency vehicles party. The birthday boy loves any and all rescue heroes, so combining them all was just perfection!
Just a tiny sample of all the rescue goodness that awaits in your party plan! Did you knw everything in your plan is clickable? You like that shirt? It’s yours! Invite is too cute? I agree, click and buy it! It makes the planning and prep SO easy!
Repurposing is one of the best ways to save money when planning a party. Beg, borrow, and steal everything you can. Most of the serving pieces shown here and borrowed from friends, and like I said, all the decor was sitting in her son’s bedroom waiting to be used! The firehouse (pictured below) on the table, was actually a birthday gift. Sara decided it would be a great source of height for the table, and told Rory that was his and he got to play with it once the party was over! What a great idea!
One of the best moments of the day was watching the whole local fire-station roll up to surprise the birthday boy. The fire engine came driving up the street and all of the real life heroes got out and started wishing him happy birthday. Rory’s face was priceless. A little shy at first…but once they offered that hose to him…game over! He got to knock down “cones of fire” and explore the engine. The firefighters also participated in a fun burning building obstacle course to show all the guests how it’s done!
This party was one for the books. The theme was absolutely perfect for what Rory was into during that year of his life. Because of this, all those little details were magical to him and the other kids. Sara crushed her party plan, saved time, stress, and money, and actually enjoyed prepping for this party. She was excited, confident, and able to really enjoy the memories she was able to create for her family and friends. Ring, Ring, Ring, another successful party!
